THE TALENT THAT WAS, RENE GRUAU

8:01 PM

Rene Gruau was a renowned fashion illustrator whose work embellished the pages of Vogue and Harper's Bazaar, among other great fashion magasines. He was one of the best artists in the glamorous world of haute couture during the 1940s and 1950s. His work is appreciated and known internationally, and is displayed in some of the most notable art museums including the Louvre in Paris. One of my favourite decades in fashion is the 50s and I particularly enjoyed some of his Christian Dior advertisements. I really admire his creations. Here are some of my favourites.
