A WELL DESERVED BREAK...

4:55 PM

I am just back from an extremely unexpected skiing holiday with my family and some close friends. We've been talking about it for years, saying that it would be great fun to do a two family holiday so I was very pleasantly surprised when they decided to book it.
We went to the small principality known as Andorra, which was absolutely beautiful! I feel energised after breathing in the crisp mountain air. There's nothing like it. It was warm and sunny everyday - except for on our last day, when it snowed non-stop!
I hadn't been skiing for at least three years and was admittedly, very nervous. However, after my first couple of runs, you couldn't stop me! I am physically exhausted but mentally refreshed. I can't wait to hit the slopes again next year!

It was my Mom's birthday when we were away and the hotel supplied this beautiful cake! It was delicious!
My little sister in the snow - what a great photograph!

Also, on this action packed holiday, my Mom and I decided to visit the spa, Caldea. It is the largest mountain spa leisure centre in Europe.
After being in the water for 3 hours, it suddenly dawned on us that our hands hadn't shriveled up like they usually do when you go swimming. This was because it is all thermal water which heals and rejuvenates the body and mind. When it was all over, my skin felt like a baby's which I was amazed by considering we had only spent a couple of hours there!
There is plenty to do and it caters for all the family. There is an indoor lake, an outdoor lake, jacuzzi's, a Hammam (which was my favourite!), Indo-Roman baths and much more! The is also restaurants and many shops for the members of the family that don't want to check into the spa. I would definitely recommend visiting it if you are ever in Andorra - the architecture is breathtaking too so at least take a look!

Check out their website here.

Bisous,
Hannah.
