Memorial to the Murdered Jews of Europe
Just thought I'd share these pictures with you from my short but sweet trip to Berlin a couple of weeks ago. I nearly didn't post them but then I thought, why not?! Considering it was a 24-hour whirlwind of an adventure, it was pretty jam packed. There was really no time for rest! Lucky for me, the STYLIGHT Fashion Blogger Awards was hosted just across the road from the landmark that is, The Brandenburg Gate. It's such a majestic piece of architecture, and I couldn't help but capture it both during the day and at night. If you're ever in Berlin, I'd recommend making it your business to check it out. One of the most eye opening sights of the day was coming across the Memorial to the Murdered Jews of Europe (pictured above). Over 2,000 slabs of varying heights known as stelae commemorating the tremendous loss of life. I'm a bit of a history geek to be honest, and this memorial really made me stop and think. I'd definitely like to have explored a bit more and hope to go back to Berlin in the future. Playing tourist for the day really was so much fun, and I'll be posting a video of my trip in the next few days too. I'm going to stop wrecking your head now and catch up on lost sleep! Talk soon, lovelies...
