Bad weather can really limit ones creativity when styling an outfit, after all, when it's cold and wet outside all anyone wants to do (including myself!!) is throw on a warm coat, sweat pants and a comfy pair of Uggs, but I think it's so important to push ourselves into thinking innovatively. It's been raining like crazy here in Dublin lately and was doing so on the day we shot this look, when we were in the city for New Look's High Summer SS14 preview, and to be honest, all I wanted to do was snuggle up in front of my TV with a hot chocolate, a warm blanket whilst watching re-runs of Gossip Girl. However, I didn't let the rainy weather dampen my spirits and kicked myself into action! This is the look I put together, and I think it's perfect for combatting the cold weather. This coat is so comfy and super warm, yet is also a piece that garners an array of compliments and statements like, 'Oh, cute coat, where is it from?', so it was a no-brainer for a miserable day like such. I wanted to achieve a look of sophistication and maturity, yet with an edgy, fresh feel, and I think by combining it with my coveted, lace peep-toe booties and my cheetah print Charter Club jacket, I achieved just that. The pop of print adds a funky touch to this otherwise understated look and my vibrant nails add a subtle pop of colour. You may have noticed a pattern in my latest posts, being my hand candy. I'm crazyyyyyy about rings at the moment!! I'm particularly loving dainty gold ones, and midi rings. I've been wearing them non-stop lately, occasionally complimenting them with a chunkier ring, and oh my, do I love this white and baby pink coloured ring, which my bestie gave me. Definitely one of my favourites! Thanks, Zoe! ;) Moving onto the topic of handbags, my Louis Vuitton Speedy 35 is seriously like my baby. I saved up for it and made the investment when I was just 13, and boy, was that a smart idea! It's such a versatile piece and always adds an effortless touch of elegance to any ensemble, but I think it works particularly well here, complimenting the cheetah print beautifully.

I was really excited to preview New Look's newest collection at the stunning Morgan Hotel in Dublin, which is uber chic by the way, as their previous Christmas collection really impressed me. I have lots of behind the scenes snaps from the event coming up in my next article so stay tuned to see what's to come in the collection!

xoxo, Hannah
