Weddings are simply beautiful. A time filled with love, happiness, joy and hope. Hope for a long and happy life with your loved one. I love weddings, and although often lavish occasions, for me, it's the little things that make them extra special. So much emphasis is put into it being so 'perfect', but sometimes it's the little things that make them so memorable. Setting eyes on the bride for the first time, the look in the groom's eye when he sees his beautiful bride walking down the aisle... It's those moments that make it so significant, and magical. I travelled to England a couple of weeks ago to witness my gorgeous cousin, Amy, tie the knot with her partner Tony, and it was probably the best wedding I've ever attended. The setting was intimate and delicate, set at a quaint little church in the countryside, and after, we were brought to the gardens of a stunning country manor, where the most elegant marquee I have ever set my eyes on, stood grandly amidst lavish gardens. I don't know exactly what I was expecting when I discovered it was going to be held in a marquee, but it seriously exceeded my expectations. Cream bouquets sat atop each table, with a grand chandelier finishing the setting poignantly. Guests sipped on Prosecco and snacked on delicious canopes as the saxophonist accompanied us all in the song of conversation. We had the most delicious dinner and it was simply wonderful. We danced the night away...

I haven't been to that many weddings, and so was slightly puzzled at the thought of what to wear. Luckily, it kind of fell into place! I fell in love with this cerise pink silk Ralph Lauren dress in a vintage store a few months ago and was so excited to wear it. The frilled detailing finishes the impeccable design effortlessly. I was gifted it by the lovely owner of vintagetouchfashion.tictail.com which you should definitely check out, she really has some amazing pieces. I paired it with this fluffy lilac bag and some Peter Kaiser peep toe heels. I picked up my hat the day before our flight (haha, talk about last minute!!) and I'm so happy with how it finished the look, I think it was the perfect finishing touch :)
